DEADLINE: 10th March 2026

 

Directorate of Occupational Safety and Health has pleasure to invite you to its National Annual Scientific Conference on 27th April, 2026 to be held at Boma Inn, Eldoret followed by celebration of the World Day for Safety on 28th April, 2026.


We hereby invite submissions of abstracts of original research in line with this theme for presentation during the conference and warmly welcome you to the National Annual Scientific Conference 2026.

 

Abstract Requirements:

  • Abstracts must be submitted electronically via the email oshinstitute@labour.go.ke cc doshdept@labour.go.ke

  • Abstracts must be received by 10th March, 2026. Abstracts received after the deadline will NOT be accepted.

  • All abstracts and presentations should be in English.

  • Please label your presentation file as follows: OSH 2026_NAME (FIRST NAME & SURNAME) e.g. OSH CONF 2026_SIMON MATHENGE. You can verify the time of your presentation from the conference program that will be emailed.

  • The Abstracts Committee reserves the right to recommend revisions to submitted abstracts to ensure conformity with desired standards.

DOSHS Services

The State Department of Labour and skills Development carries out health and safety services through the Directorate of Occupational Safety & Health Services (DOSHS). The Department has its Headquarters in Industrial Area, safety house and has regional offices in twenty nine (29) counties. These services are carried out to ensure that every workplace isfree of any hazards, and complies to laid down standards to assure safety of employees. Some of these services include but are not limited to Registration of workplaces, Registration of plant, Registration of Approved persons and institutions, workplace inspection & audits, Examination & testing of plants, Accident investigation & WIBA processing.
